The DB Music Player
Daniel Eric Bryant was born on December 10th, 1984 in a small suburb of Rochester called Fairport, NY to Eric & Leslie Bryant as their newest edition #11 of twelve children. Growing up with so many siblings encouraged the development of all sorts of different talents & activities between all the children. Although he played his fair share of sports (most of the time warming the bench for more interested players), Dan always ended up involving himself in some kind of creative endeavors.
In his early years, he lived in a condominium located within an elderly community. Most of the residents didn't ever leave their homes and also didn't take to kindly to the idea of kids playing outside making noise. This inspired the infamous Bryant Brothers to take action. Seeing as how they were the youngest of twelve, there was an abundance of stuffed animals. As Jon spent hours tailoring paper costumes to the various "cast" of stuffed animal, Dan would be creating wooden sets, special effects, putting together the soundtracks and dialogues, and setting up lighting and wiring rigs inside their parents’ garage. For days the garage would be off limits to cars and other family members until opening night. The Brothers would then invite all the neighbors over for various productions from Winnie the Pooh to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and even the Religious blockbuster "The Hill Cumorah Pageant".
As the years went on Dan moved on from the garage plays to piano recitals & singing as the boy leads in various choral oratorios w/ the Genesee Valley Orchestra and Choir. Although he was taking piano lessons at the time, starting at age 5, his new piano teacher Mr. Altman, a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, suggested he try making arrangements of peoples songs if he didn't like playing the originals. From this idea spawned most of the motivation for Dan to not only arrange, but write his own music for people to enjoy. He started at age 7 with his own arrangement of all his favorite Star Wars themes which weren't in print yet on sheet music, which lead to him studying John Williams in just about every detail and helped him in writing a bunch of his own little songs on the side.
At age 12 he performed his first actual classical piece, "Heaven's Light", at a local talent show in Detroit. This created all sorts of excitement not only as a performance but as the beginnings of his career in music. He was approached by various labels & producers and was finally welcomed by famed Producer, David Thompson (Savage Garden, Justin Timberlake, Nick Carter) and his label Digital Underdog Productions, who worked rigorously to improve Dan's performance & writing skills and then invited Dan's first group, OFFKEY, to spend a month in Toronto and record Dan's first album, "Presence of Mind".
After that, the rest is history. Dan has been featured performing with countless groups from rock bands to accompanying pop singers and even conducting and composing symphonic orchestrations with the Toronto Roland Symphony Orchestra. Dan has always put his emphasis on truly capturing the full emotion of his music & not sparing any expense or cutting any corners to create a very unique blend of melody, harmony, and a great experience for you.
